My Updated Foundation Routine

I’ve probably tried so many foundations before I narrowed it down to these two for my updated foundation routine. I originally mixed my two Urban Decay foundations together, but it wasn’t matching my skin color just right. But now, I mix the Loreal Infallible Pro-Glow and Smashbox Studio Skin to get my skin looking flawless.

Smashbox Studio Skin

I originally bought the Smashbox Studio Skin foundation online based on the great reviews for people with combination skin. It matched my skin color well and kept me looking matte without drying me out.

However, it took about 3-4 pumps for me to get the coverage I wanted. Normally, I use 1-2 pumps for any other foundation. It’s annoying that I had to use more.

However, it’s not every day I come across a foundation that matches my skin color and keeps me from looking oily. I had to keep it in my foundation routine. I knew then that I had to mix it with a water-y foundation to even it out.

Loreal Infallible Pro-Glow

I normally don’t use drug store foundations, but I’ve heard so many good things about the Loreal Infallible Pro-Glow, I had to give it a try. I went to Target and I picked one that I thought matched me. (No testers at Target, boo!)

I was amazed at the coverage I got when I mixed the two foundations! I used less of my Smashbox foundation (which was a lot more expensive than my Loreal) and I got the coverage I wanted.

This didn’t match the color exactly though; it was a little bit darker. But summer is coming! I can get tan 🙂

Overall

I wouldn’t recommend the Smashbox foundation if you are on a budget and let’s be honest, who isn’t these days? You are not getting the bang for your buck with this one. It sucks for me since it matched me so well.

I actually would repurchase the Loreal Pro Glow and keep it in my foundation routine! I wouldn’t necessarily depend on only this foundation, but if I needed a foundation cocktail… This is definitely in it.
