What Are You Reading?

I’ve been mentioning to my boyfriend, Andrew, for a while about how I’ve been meaning to get back into reading, but for some reason couldn’t. And little lucky old me got a Kindle for Valentine’s Day from thoughtful him. Now I need some help! What are you reading?

I obviously downloaded the Harry Potter series. That series is my entire childhood! But after that initial download, I’ve been having trouble on what else I should be putting in my Kindle.

I also put the Series of Unfortunate Events in my Kindle as well. I’ve watched the episodes on Netflix, so I figured I might as well read the rest of the books before the next season comes out.

There are so many books out there that it’s hard to weed out which ones are a great read. I wanted to start slow and read short, fun books. I’ve also gone on Amazon and Barnes & Noble to see the top rated books to choose from there.

I stumbled upon a book called Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur. It’s top rated and an easy book of poetry. I read it in about an hour and absolutely loved it so much. I highly HIGHLY recommend it, especially to my female readers. But I made Andrew read it as well and he loved it just as much.

Milk and Honey takes readers through a journey of the most bitter moments in life and finds sweetness in them because there is sweetness everywhere if you are just willing to look.” It quickly helped me realize I have value and that I need to start loving myself.

But anyways, besides those initial reads, I’m stumped on what else I should be reading. So that gave me the idea to extend my question onto my blog readers!

What are you reading? Anything you’ve been particularly enjoying? Please leave me a comment below! And thanks in advance 🙂

Happy reading, everyone!

Milk and Honey is on my to-read list. I’ve just finished The Looking Glass by Michele Roberts and have started Everyday Sexism by Laura Bates. Hope you find more books you love! There’s so many out there. x

Milk & Honey is a super quick read, but very good! I’m going to look up the other two books you mentioned to see if that sounds like something I would read, thanks 🙂
